I am a management/human resource management expert with over 20 years experience as a facilitator, consultant and researcher. Currently I hold the position of Associate Professor in the Faculty of Commerce – University of Malawi. I have a PhD in Development Policy and Management (with emphasis on Human Resources Management) and a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Human Resource Development; both degrees were obtained from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. I also have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Public Administration obtained from the University of Malawi.

Since joining the University of Malawi, I have been lecturing human resource management and other management related courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have also been engaged in the following roles in relation to postgraduate theses/dissertations: Supervisor, Internal Examiner, Internal Assessor, External Examiner, conducting viva voce sessions for Masters and PhD students. Further, I have also facilitated various management related seminars and workshops for government, non governmental and private sector organizations.

I have served in various management positions within and outside the University of Malawi including Dean of Faculty of Commerce, Acting Director of Management Development Centre, Senate representative on the University of Malawi Council, Vice Chairperson of an Independent Malawi Public Service Appraisal Committee among other positions.

My research interests focus on Human Resource Management, Training and Development, HIV and AIDS in the Workplace, Career Management, and general Organization Management. My research papers have been published in Journals such as Australian Journal of Business and Management Research, Global Journal of Management and Business Research; International Journal of Human Resource Studies; Human Resource Management Review; International Journal of the Academy of Organizational behavior Management; International Journal of Human Resource Management; Journal of General Management; African Journal of Business Management, and Journal of Social Aspects (SAHARA). My specific expertise include: – highly refined communication and analytical skills.
